Undergraduate Notice

자연과학대학은 2016년 7월 대만에 소재한 대만국립대학(National Taiwan University)의 자연과학대학(College of Science/ 학문분야: 수학, 물리, 화학, 통계 등)와 학술·학생교류협정을 체결하였다. 대만국립대학은 1928년에 설립 된 국립대학으로서 대만에서 가장 우수한 대학으로 알려져 있으며 2015-2016 QS 세계대학평가에서 70위, 자연과학분야(Natural Science) 평가에서는 32위에 랭크되는 등 국제적으로도 뛰어난 성과와 평판을 인정받고 있다.

NTU와 본교는 2009년 대학차원의 학술교류협정을 체결하였고 그 동안 경영대학·동아시아학술원 등 사회과학분야에서 교류를 해 왔으며, 이번 자연과학대학과의 파트너십 구축을 토대로 자연과학 및 이공학계열 전 학문분야로 교류를 확대할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 자연과학대학에서는 2017년 1학기부터 NTU와 학생교환프로그램을 운영할 예정이며, 향후 NTU의 생명과학/공학분야 단과대학인 College of Life Sciences와의 학술·학생교류 협정도 체결하기로 합의하였다.

Enhanced Relationship with NTU Science for Scientific and Student Engagement

National Taiwan University has been a long-standing partner of SKKU over the last 10 years since 2006 when the College of Information and Communication Engineering established the first partnership with them. And the year of 2016 is another big milestone for bilateral collaboration between NTU and SKKU, forming a new tie for science disciplines. Our college entered into the scholarly cooperation and student exchange agreement with the NTU College of Science, which embraces the chemistry, physics, mathematics, and statistics as of July, 2016. Two Deans Dr. KWON Young-Uk and Dr. Shiuh-Tzung LIU agreed to start student exchange program from 2017 spring by signing the student exchange agreement and explore more possibilities of future collaboration in scientific engagement between the researchers.

National Taiwan University is acknowledged as the most prestigious university in Taiwan, ranked 70th according to 2015-2016 QS World University Ranking. Its science disciplines are also well-known for high academic caliber, ranked 32nd according to 2015-2016 QS World University Ranking by Faculty. The College of Science will also keep close contact with NTU College of Life Sciences to establish another relationship for full-fledged collaboration for all departments of our College.
